Our Story

Once upon a time, in a city by the ocean, a teacher had a dream. A dream to build a school that will forever set the standard of what education should be, a school that would emphasize comportment, poise, and decorum with academic excellence… a school for GIRLS. The dream of an ideal Christian boarding secondary school for girls had throbbed in the mind of the proprietor, Christie Jumbo, since the nineteen eighties. In 1994, precisely on 10th October, that dream came true and Royal Girls’ Academy was born. The first of its kind in Rivers State, Nigeria..
