Chidera lgbokwe-Obi (Class of 2013)
C hidera Igbokwe-Obi is a senior process engineer at AstraZeneca, where she supports bulk drug substance manufacturing operations for Lokelma, a treatment for hyperkalemia in adults.
Before joining AstraZeneca, she worked as a process engineer at GlaxoSmithKline, where she led downstream manufacturing operations for Benlysta, the first FDA-approved treatment for lupus.
Chidera holds degrees in biotechnology and chemical engineering from the University of Maryland. She is passionate about optimizing pharmaceutical manufacturing processes to ensure that patients at the end of the supply chain have timely access to the life-changing medicines they need.

Shalom Alugwe is a lawyer, project manager, and social entrepreneur known for leading high-impact initiatives across Nigeria and advancing women’s leadership across Africa.

Shalom Alugwe is a distinguished lawyer, project manager, and social entrepreneur who has dedicated her skills and experience to driving advocacy and leading transformational projects. She played a pivotal role in co-leading COVID-19 intervention initiatives in partnership with MasterCard and the Gates Foundation. These projects spanned several states in Nigeria and made a significant impact, reaching over 17,000 families. Her commitment to addressing urgent needs through impactful projects showcases her dedication to creating meaningful change.
In addition, Shalom was instrumental in building the membership pipeline for the first private business club for C-suite women leaders in Africa. Under her leadership, the membership footprint of this pioneering organization has expanded to seven countries, reflecting her ability to drive growth and foster influential networks. Her efforts in this space highlight her commitment to advancing women’s leadership.
Shalom’s achievements in social entrepreneurship were recognized on a global stage when she was honored by the United Nations Youth Forum in New York. She holds a law degree from the University of Lagos and is currently pursuing an MBA at Emory University.
She belongs to Class of 2013 where she served as the Social Prefect and student mentor.

Ibitein Keren is a distinguished alumna who graduated with a first-class degree in Software Engineering from Babcock University. Her passion for coding and technology was sparked during her time at Royal Girls’ Academy (RGA) through engaging termly projects—where she developed her first software application—and the unwavering dedication of her Computer Science teacher, Ms. Nneyen, who introduced her to the exciting possibilities of technology.
At the university, Ibitein served as the Cloud Co-Lead for the Google Developer Student Club, where she played a pivotal role in promoting innovation and enhancing technical skills within the student community.
Ibitein is also a committed leader and entrepreneur, working alongside a talented team of developers to create impactful software applications for both individuals and businesses. Her entrepreneurial drive led her to successfully pitch startup projects like Veskee, Boro, and Bridgehub with her team, securing grants and investments to bring these innovative ideas to life.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ibitein is deeply devoted to her faith. She founded Tameion, a dynamic Christian community that organizes outreaches and events to spread the Word of God and foster spiritual growth. Through her various endeavours, Ibitein continues to inspire others with her passion for technology, leadership, and service.
