Our Christian Commitment
Royal Girls’ Academy is a full boarding Christian secondary school for girls. The school is governed by biblical principles in all matters of conduct and belief. As such, secret cults, cult-related activities, and all forms of moral perversion are strictly prohibited.
Students of other faiths are welcome at Royal Girls’ Academy and will not be compelled or pressured to convert to Christianity. However, within the school environment, Christian beliefs and practices form the foundation of school life. There is the possibility that a non-Christian student may, of her own free will, choose to become a Christian. Such a personal decision shall be respected, as no student will be forced to convert.
The practice, propagation, and promotion of other religious beliefs are not permitted within the school. Students of other faiths will therefore not be allowed to conduct or share the tenets of their religion with other students while in the school.
All students are required to:
Own a Bible and a hymn book
Participate in all Christian religious activities organised by the school
Royal Girls’ Academy derives its name and spiritual foundation from the Bible, 1 Peter 2:9:
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.”
This scripture serves as the school’s guiding religious text.
Parents and guardians of other faiths who wish to admit their children or wards into the school are welcome. However, they should note that there is no provision for the practice of other religious activities within the school.
While Christian values guide school life, students are taught tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence with people of other religions.
